Having met while filming the adaptation of John le Carré’s A Most Wanted Man, actor-director Grigoriy Dobrygin enlisted co-star Willem Dafoe for a filmic study of the Spiderman star’s most remarkable feature: his gap-filled teeth. “When you are an actor, you use yourself as material, so everything is personal to some degree,” says Dafoe of his connection to the video’s anecdotes. “My father did talk about the virtues of spaces in your teeth, and described his and mine as ‘air cooled.’” Dobrygin’s film was sold for over $100,000 at annual charity auction Action!, which raises money for various children’s charities.
